About the role

The Nursing Assistant at Sanford Health's Bemidji Main Clinic provides support to nursing personnel in a variety of patient care activities and related services. This position assists with clinical duties, vital sign monitoring, and basic health care needs.

Responsibilities

• Assists with taking vital signs
• Maintains stock of medical supplies
• Performs clerical work related to scheduling and documentation
• Cleans patient areas or treatment rooms
• Administers delegated tasks and treatments
• Records vital statistics and other basic health information
• Provides assistance with rooming patients and daily living activities
• Collects non-invasive biological specimens as needed

Requirements

• Good human relations and communication skills
• Ability to follow procedures and instructions given by licensed nurses
• Basic knowledge of patient care principles, medical terminology, and equipment
• Preferred certification and registration with the Minnesota Board of Nursing Assistant Registry

Qualifications

• Must be able to acquire a basic knowledge of patient care principles, medical terminology, and equipment within the assigned service area

• Physical stamina and ability to lift up to 50 pounds

Pay

$17.85 - $24.29 per hour

Schedule

Full time, 8 hours per day, Monday through Friday, 8am-5pm
