About the role
The Planning Engineer supports engineering activities such as design, modification and manages activities for a specific product or group of products from product definition and planning through production.
Nature of Duties/Responsibilities
- Plan jobs using InPlan and Insolver applications to create production travelers for a printed circuit board (PCB) manufacturing plant.
- Complete controlled impedance stack-ups, instruct CAM operators on all tooling requirements, answer technical questions from other departments, as well as, effectively communicate with customers.
- Perform DFM (Design for Manufacturability) review on customer designs.
- Perform spec-review and spec-summary on all customer documents and/or industry standards.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in an engineering discipline, preferably Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or Materials Engineering.
- Experience in planning, product engineering, and tooling in a PCB manufacturing environment and using a CAD/CAM system is helpful but not required.
- Self-starter with excellent initiative.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Qualifications
- Must be a US Citizen or a lawful permanent resident.
Skills
- Familiarity with InPlan and Insolver applications.
- Knowledge of controlled impedance stack-ups and tooling requirements.
- Strong DFM and spec-review skills.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
Pay
Salary Range (annual): $65,000.00 - $80,000.00
