About the role

This position supports the engineering and PCB design teams by managing the PCB parts library, assisting with part selection and replacements, and supporting procurement activities.

Responsibilities

  • Create, correct, and approve library entries
  • Create and review symbols and footprints
  • Research and recommend part alternatives
  • Cook up and track availability and lead times with procurement
  • Maintain documentation standards

Requirements

  • A bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, electrical engineering technology, or an associate’s degree in electrical engineering technology is preferred.
  • IPC Certified Interconnect Designer (CID or CID+) or PCEA Certified Printed Circuit Designer (CPCD) is highly desirable.
  • Two years or more of relevant work experience is preferred.

Qualifications

  • Experience with PCB library tools, such as Altium, OrCAD, or KiCad
  • Familiarity with IPC/DoD standards, electronic components, and sourcing
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Strong communication skills

Pay

Starting salary range of $30 - $45/hr is based on education and years of relevant experience.

Schedule

This position may be hybrid or remote, with a preference for candidates able to work onsite a few days per week or a week per month if living at a distance.
