About the role
This position supports the engineering and PCB design teams by managing the PCB parts library, assisting with part selection and replacements, and supporting procurement activities.Responsibilities
- Create, correct, and approve library entries
- Create and review symbols and footprints
- Research and recommend part alternatives
- Cook up and track availability and lead times with procurement
- Maintain documentation standards
Requirements
- A bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, electrical engineering technology, or an associate’s degree in electrical engineering technology is preferred.
- IPC Certified Interconnect Designer (CID or CID+) or PCEA Certified Printed Circuit Designer (CPCD) is highly desirable.
- Two years or more of relevant work experience is preferred.
Qualifications
- Experience with PCB library tools, such as Altium, OrCAD, or KiCad
- Familiarity with IPC/DoD standards, electronic components, and sourcing
- Excellent attention to detail
- Strong communication skills
