PCB Layout Designer

About the role

A Specialist in PCB Layout Design, you'll be involved in designing state-of-the-art rigid, flex, and rigid-flex PCBs. Your work will involve collaboration with a skilled engineering team, contributing to mission success, and continuously improving your skills in a supportive environment.

Responsibilities

• Utilize Mentor PADS software to integrate schematic, mechanical, and manufacturing inputs into new or modified rigid, flex, and rigid-flex designs.
• Collaborate with the cross-functional design team to address issues arising from Valor NPI fabrication and manufacturing checks.
• Update design files and documentation to reflect changes in schematics, Bill of Materials (BOM), detail drawings, and other related files, ensuring proper PLM file structure.
• Validate the integrity of PCB design packages by confirming the alignment between schematic, BOM, mechanical, PCB layout, and assembly components.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree and minimum 4 years of relevant experience.
• Graduate Degree and minimum 2 years of relevant experience.
• In lieu of a degree, minimum of 8 years of relevant experience.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with a PLM tool such as Agile, Teamcenter, etc.
• Knowledge of PCB design elements including schematic, BOM, mechanical, fabrication, assembly, and related files and documentation.
• Experience with PCB design software such as PADS, Xpedition, Cadence, Valor, etc.
• Excellent attention to detail.
