PCB/Flex Engineer/Technician
Job Summary
Ironwood Electronics is seeking a career opportunity for a printed circuit board/flex fabrication engineer/technician based in Eagan, MN. The ideal candidate will manage a new but growing captive etching and plating facility used to produce precision test contacts for semiconductor device testing. Responsibilities include managing the PCB layout through manufacturing and new product development, with opportunities to wear multiple hats. Desired skills include laser cutting, lamination, and chemical analysis. This position requires a self-starter with a sense of urgency and a desire to get things done, and the ability to interface with design engineers and sales/customer service.

This position is part of Ironwood Electronics, a globally recognized leader in semiconductor test components. Our mission is to design and manufacture high-quality products with the industry's shortest lead times. We are looking for a self-motivated individual who can manage our new etching and plating facility and contribute to various aspects of PCB manufacturing and new product development.
Responsibilities
- Manage the etching and plating facility to produce precision test contacts for semiconductor device testing
- Interface with design engineers and sales/customer service teams
- Wear multiple hats throughout the PCB manufacturing process, including PCB layout, manufacturing, and new product development
- Perform laser cutting, lamination, and chemical analysis as needed
- Ensure compliance with quality standards and safety protocols
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Materials Science, or a related field
- Minimum 5 years of experience in PCB fabrication and/or semiconductor testing
- Experience with etching, plating, and chemical analysis processes
- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Qualifications
- Proficiency in PCB layout software (e.g., AutoCAD, Altium Designer)
- Knowledge of semiconductor testing principles and techniques
- Experience with laser cutting, lamination, and chemical analysis equipment
- Understanding of quality control and inspection procedures

Pay
The salary range for this position is $70,000 - $90,000 annually, depending on experience and qualifications.
