About the role
A premier hardware technology pioneer delivering power-efficient audio architectures and high-performance integrated circuits to major global mobile manufacturers. This is a full-time hybrid role based in downtown Austin, requiring 3 days on-site and 2 days remote. No third-party agencies or sponsorship available.
Schedule
Full-time, hybrid: 3 days on-site in downtown Austin, 2 days remote.
Responsibilities
- Design complex, high-density multi-layer PCBs and HDI stack-ups (<0.4mm pitch/WLCSP) from schematic capture to manufacturing release.
- Execute high-speed, mixed-signal layouts incorporating controlled impedance, differential pairs, length matching, and power integrity optimization.
- Manage end-to-end ECAD workflows using Cadence Allegro, Altium Designer, or Siemens/Mentor Graphics in compliance with IPC and DFM standards.
- Lead design reviews, establish layout best practices, and mentor junior PCB designers.
- Support specialized hardware designs, including ATE board interfaces (HIBs, PIBs, Probe Cards) and semiconductor reliability stress hardware (HAST/HTOL).
Requirements
- Experience working within the semiconductor industry.
- Proficiency with Cadence Allegro, Altium Designer, or Siemens/Mentor Graphics ECAD tools.
- Strong knowledge of IPC standards and DFM (Design for Manufacturing) practices.
- Expertise in high-speed, mixed-signal layout techniques: controlled impedance, differential pairs, length matching, power integrity.
- Experience with HDI stack-ups and fine-pitch packaging (<0.4mm pitch, WLCSP).
- Background in ATE board interfaces (HIBs, PIBs, Probe Cards) and semiconductor reliability stress hardware (HAST/HTOL) a plus.
