Position Details
Night Shift Availability Is Required For This Role. This position supports our overnight Mother Baby team, providing direct patient care and clinical support during night hours. Candidates must be willing and able to consistently work night shifts.

What You'll Do
Under the direction of a Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN), you'll provide individualized patient care and support to help patients achieve their highest level of wellness. Patient Care Responsibilities include:
- Assist with personal hygiene and daily care activities
- Support ambulation, repositioning, feeding assistance, and intake documentation
- Obtain and document vital signs and patient information in the electronic medical record (EMR)
- Observe and immediately report changes in patient condition
- Absorb and provide timely patient assistance
- Perform point-of-care testing and specimen collection as appropriate
- Answer call lights and provide timely patient assistance
- Perform clerical duties including monitoring phones and unit communication
- Collaborate with nurses and healthcare team members to deliver exceptional patient care
Advanced Skills Opportunities
Following training and competency validation, Nurse Techs may perform additional skills including:
- Phlebotomy and specimen collection
- Blood cultures
- Enteral feeding
- Wound care and dressing changes
- Tracheostomy care and suctioning
- Catheter removal
- IV removal
- Ostomy care
- Chest tube setup
- Additional advanced patient care procedures within scope
Minimum Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED required
- Currently enrolled in an approved or accredited nursing program
- Must have successfully completed Fundamentals of Nursing
- Must provide nursing school transcripts and competency skills documentation prior to hire
- Must remain in good standing within the nursing program throughout employment
- BLS Certification required within one month of hire
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous Patient Care Experience
- EMT Experience
- Paramedic Experience
- Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA)
- Certified Patient Care Technician (CPCT)
- Emergency Medical Technician (EMT)
- Advanced Unlicensed Assistant (AUA)
Physical Requirements
Candidates Must Be Able To Lift, push, or pull up to 50 pounds regularly
Stand and walk for extended periods during shifts
Reach, bend, kneel, squat, twist, and grip while performing patient care duties
