About the role
Personal Care Aide responsible for providing direct client care in home settings.
Responsibilities
- Follow care plans and complete daily tasks via EVV or electronic timesheets
- Assist with personal hygiene, mobility, meal preparation (including special diets), and basic personal care such as bathing, grooming, and oral hygiene
- Utilize safety and infection control procedures and maintain a clean and safe environment
- Notify supervisors of any issues or changes in client condition
- Respect client confidentiality and privacy, and support self-help activities
Qualifications & Skills
- High school diploma preferred; ability to read and write
- At least 6 months of validated caregiving experience
- Must be 18 or older
- Ability to assist with transfers, use of mobility equipment, and support medication management without administering medications
- Strong attention to safety, confidentiality, and client dignity is essential
Key Duties
- Ensure quality care within scope and adhere to care plans
- Report concerns or unsafe conditions
- Collaborate with supervisors
- Perform light household chores related to client needs
This role reports to the Home Care Manager or designated staff and involves accountability for client well-being and safety.
