About the role
Personal Care Aide responsible for providing fundamental personal care and support to clients in a home care setting.
Responsibilities
- Follow individualized care plans
- Assist with bathing, grooming, ambulation, meal preparation, and basic hygiene
- Support clients’ self-help efforts
- Maintain a safe and clean environment
- Document tasks via EVV or electronic timesheets
Qualifications
- High school diploma preferred
- At least 6 months of validated caregiving experience
- Must be 18 or older
- Ability to read and write
Skills & Duties
- Adhere to safety, infection control, and confidentiality protocols
- Respect client privacy
- Perform only tasks within scope
- Assist with medication self-administration (not direct administration)
- Report any concerns or changes in client condition
Accountability
Reports to the Home Care Manager or designated staff; responsible for quality care delivery and safety.
