Responsibilities

• Complete Orkin’s award-winning training to gain the skills and knowledge needed to serve customers effectively.
• Prioritize safety in all tasks and responsibilities.
• Follow a route schedule within an assigned territory, ensuring timely and safe arrival at each customer location.
• Operate and maintain a company vehicle, keeping it clean and well-equipped.
• Conduct yourself professionally and with integrity when interacting with customers and coworkers.
• Serve as a problem solver by listening to customers’ needs and recommending efficient, innovative solutions.
• Meet with customers to explain actions taken, ensure satisfaction, and discuss additional services for comprehensive pest management.
• Inspect the interior and exterior of customer properties to diagnose and address pest issues.
• Communicate clearly with customers about services performed and opportunities for further protection.
• Complete all required service documentation using a handheld device for accuracy and efficiency.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Valid driver’s license required.
• Ability to obtain a pesticide license within the first 90 days of employment (company paid).
• Ability to work independently, manage route-based assignments, and interact with customers in their homes or businesses.

Physical Demands

• Safely use a ladder within the manufacturer’s weight capacity.
• Occasionally lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
• Access crawl spaces, attics, confined spaces, rooftops, and other areas requiring climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling.
• Wear personal protective equipment (PPE), including an OSHA-compliant respirator when required.
• Work in various weather conditions.

No prior pest control experience is required—Orkin provides extensive paid training up front and ongoing to support your success.
