Duties and Responsibilities
- Aid teachers and parents/guardians in planning strategies for students needing additional support.
- Collaborate with building administrators and staff to identify and address student behavior issues.
- Collect and analyze student behavioral data to inform interventions and support plans.
- Engage with the broader educational community and diverse populations to support inclusive practices.
- Maintain and adapt support plans based on student progress and needs.
- Communicate students' progress and needs to parents/guardians and other staff members.
- Collaborate with teachers, support personnel, and colleagues to enhance instruction and improve student outcomes.
- Attend and contribute to department, team, building, and District meetings and events.
- Perform other related duties as assigned or requested.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree.
- Intermediate knowledge of applied behavior analysis concepts.
- Strong communication, organization, and human relations skills.
- Ability to align curriculum and assessments with state content standards.
- Ability to support programs designed to increase student achievement.
- Ability to assume leadership roles in developing and communicating programs and curriculum.
- Ability and willingness to work collaboratively as part of a team.
- Ability to participate in a Professional Learning Community.
- Ability to understand, appreciate, and accommodate student diversity.
- Desire to serve as a role model and an innovative learner.
Required Certificates, Licenses, and Registrations
- COLORADO DEPARTMENT OF EDUCATION (CDE) teaching or Special Services Provider (SSP) license.
