Duties and Responsibilities

  • Aid teachers and parents/guardians in planning strategies for students needing additional support.
  • Collaborate with building administrators and staff to identify and address student behavior issues.
  • Collect and analyze student behavioral data to inform interventions and support plans.
  • Engage with the broader educational community and diverse populations to support inclusive practices.
  • Maintain and adapt support plans based on student progress and needs.
  • Communicate students' progress and needs to parents/guardians and other staff members.
  • Collaborate with teachers, support personnel, and colleagues to enhance instruction and improve student outcomes.
  • Attend and contribute to department, team, building, and District meetings and events.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned or requested.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree.
  • Intermediate knowledge of applied behavior analysis concepts.
  • Strong communication, organization, and human relations skills.
  • Ability to align curriculum and assessments with state content standards.
  • Ability to support programs designed to increase student achievement.
  • Ability to assume leadership roles in developing and communicating programs and curriculum.
  • Ability and willingness to work collaboratively as part of a team.
  • Ability to participate in a Professional Learning Community.
  • Ability to understand, appreciate, and accommodate student diversity.
  • Desire to serve as a role model and an innovative learner.

Required Certificates, Licenses, and Registrations

  • COLORADO DEPARTMENT OF EDUCATION (CDE) teaching or Special Services Provider (SSP) license.
