Job Summary
The Warehouse Equipment Operators are responsible for operating Material Handler Equipment (MHE) such as fork-lift and cherry picker equipment to efficiently and safely move products within the warehouse. When there is no product to be moved, this position will help in other areas such as hand unloading products from trucks and picking products for orders.
General Duties And Responsibilities
- Operate fork-lift, cherry picker (MHE) equipment safely by following all the protocols set forth by the company.
- Inspect machinery to determine the need for repairs and guarantee safety by performing regular maintenance.
- Load and Unload materials from incoming vehicles, move, and stack them in assigned places utilizing a forklift, turret, and other warehouse equipment.
- Daily order picking and fulfillment from customer orders provided by the TIG warehouse logistics coordinator and supervisor.
- Locate and move stock of products to pallets or crates for storage or shipment.
- Identify damages and report shortages or quality deficiencies.
- Assist in other warehouse-related tasks such as picking orders accurately, packaging products, restocking products, and areas of receiving and shipping.
- Load freight shipments manually and with warehouse equipment, such as pallet jacks as needed.
- Weigh and shrink-wrap outgoing pallets as required.
- Perform general housekeeping, maintenance, and organization of the dock and inventory areas.
- Provide general warehouse support as needed, such as organizing products, and maintaining clean and safe work areas.
- Conduct inventory counts as requested.
Requirements
- High school diploma.
- Minimum one year of experience in a warehouse, manufacturing, or logistics environment.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-speed environment, follow standardized work, and adhere to safe work practices in a continuous improvement environment.
- Experience and competence with computers, RF scanner experience preferred.

Physical Demands
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to stand, sit, and walk.
- The employee is occasionally required to lift up to 40 pounds on their own, use hands to grasp or handle objects, reach with hands and arms, stoop, talk, and hear.
- Able to perform physical labor continually and stand for long periods.
