Key Responsibilities
- Process payroll for union employees across multiple unions, job locations, and states while ensuring timely and accurate payments.
- Calculate, process, and remit union dues, fringe benefits, and trust fund contributions.
- Prepare certified payroll reports and other required compliance documentation.
- Review payroll transactions to ensure compliance with collective bargaining agreements, prevailing wage regulations, and company policies.
- Investigate and resolve payroll discrepancies while maintaining accurate payroll records.
- Partner with HR, Accounting, Operations, and Project Management to verify payroll data, labor allocations, and job costing information.
Qualifications
- Previous payroll experience in a union, construction, manufacturing, or other labor-intensive environment.
- Strong understanding of collective bargaining agreements, union wage schedules, fringe benefits, and trust fund reporting.
- Experience preparing certified payroll reports and working with prevailing wage regulations.
- Proficiency with payroll software and advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities with exceptional attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively across multiple departments.
