Key Responsibilities
- Independently process established multi-state payroll using ADP Workforce Now.
- Ensure accurate and timely payroll processing in compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
- Participate in a knowledge transfer to capture critical payroll processes, dependencies, institutional knowledge, and undocumented procedures.
- Perform payroll reconciliations and resolve payroll discrepancies.
- Process employee changes, garnishments, taxes, deductions, and payroll adjustments within established payroll processes.
- Generate payroll reports and support month-end, year-end, and audit activities.
- Document end-to-end payroll workflows and develop Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to support business continuity.
- Identify opportunities to improve payroll efficiency, documentation, and internal controls.
Requirements
- 3+ years of hands-on payroll processing experience
- Recent experience processing payroll using ADP Workforce Now
- Strong knowledge of payroll tax regulations and federal, state, and local wage and hour compliance
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
- Demonstrated ability to document processes and develop Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and documentation skills
Preferred
- Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) certification
