Payroll Specialist
About the role
The Payroll Specialist plays a crucial role in the HR and HR Operations team, handling various payroll-related activities and supporting multiple areas within HRIS Success Factors Payroll. This role involves interacting with employees across the company, focusing on Human Resources and Accounting.
Responsibilities
- Researches and resolves timekeeping exceptions and implements corrective actions
- Calculates and processes payroll and deductions
- Manages DTC Incentives, Hospitality Incentives, health insurance premiums, and retirement contributions
- Prepares and distributes payroll reports to management
- Maintains accurate payroll records and ensures compliance with payroll regulations
- Supports Accounting with payroll general ledger reconciliation
- Responds to employee inquiries and handles payroll-related questions
- Trains new hires on timekeeping and payroll practices
- Performs other duties as assigned
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
- 2+ years of experience in Payroll or a similar role
- Strong understanding of payroll principles, general ledger reconciliation, and regulatory requirements
- Proficiency in payroll software and Excel
- Excellent organizational and project management skills
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills
- Attention to detail and strong analytical abilities
- Team player with a proactive approach to problem-solving
Qualifications
- Strong knowledge of benefits administration is preferred
- Self-motivated with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines
- Keen attention to detail and thorough thinking to identify potential issues

Pay
The starting salary range for this position is $26.78 to $41.86 per hour. Actual placement within the range will be determined by a variety of factors including qualifications, experience, and internal equity.
Schedule
This is a non-exempt position with occasional travel required.
