About the role

The Payroll Specialist plays a crucial role in the HR and HR Operations team, handling various payroll-related activities and supporting multiple areas within HRIS Success Factors Payroll. This role involves interacting with employees across the company, focusing on Human Resources and Accounting.

Responsibilities

  • Researches and resolves timekeeping exceptions and implements corrective actions
  • Calculates and processes payroll and deductions
  • Manages DTC Incentives, Hospitality Incentives, health insurance premiums, and retirement contributions
  • Prepares and distributes payroll reports to management
  • Maintains accurate payroll records and ensures compliance with payroll regulations
  • Supports Accounting with payroll general ledger reconciliation
  • Responds to employee inquiries and handles payroll-related questions
  • Trains new hires on timekeeping and payroll practices
  • Performs other duties as assigned

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
  • 2+ years of experience in Payroll or a similar role
  • Strong understanding of payroll principles, general ledger reconciliation, and regulatory requirements
  • Proficiency in payroll software and Excel
  • Excellent organizational and project management skills
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills
  • Attention to detail and strong analytical abilities
  • Team player with a proactive approach to problem-solving

Qualifications

  • Strong knowledge of benefits administration is preferred
  • Self-motivated with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines
  • Keen attention to detail and thorough thinking to identify potential issues
  • Experience working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment

Pay

The starting salary range for this position is $26.78 to $41.86 per hour. Actual placement within the range will be determined by a variety of factors including qualifications, experience, and internal equity.

Schedule

This is a non-exempt position with occasional travel required.
