Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum of 2 years of payroll processing experience
- Working knowledge of payroll laws, wage and hour regulations, and payroll tax requirements
- Experience using payroll and timekeeping software
- Strong attention to detail and high level of accuracy
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to maintain strict confidentiality and handle sensitive information
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with HR and Finance teams
Preferred Qualifications
- Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) certification
- Experience with UKG, ADP, Paycom, or other HRIS/payroll systems
- Experience processing payroll in a healthcare or nonprofit environment
- Knowledge of employee benefits deductions, garnishments, and payroll reporting
- Experience with payroll audits and year-end processing (W-2s, tax reconciliation)
- Associate's or bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, business administration, or a related field
