About the role
Payroll Specialists are responsible for managing employee payroll processes, ensuring compliance with labor laws, and processing payroll transactions accurately and efficiently.
Responsibilities
- Manage employee payroll processes including direct deposits, tax withholdings, and benefits contributions.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local labor laws and regulations.
- Process payroll transactions accurately and on time.
- Handle inquiries from employees regarding their paystubs and benefits.
- Prepare and submit payroll reports to management.
- Perform data entry and maintain accurate records.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Accounting, or related field.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in payroll administration or similar field.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
Qualifications
- Knowledge of payroll software systems such as ADP, Gusto, or Paychex.
- Experience with HRIS (Human Resource Information Systems).
- Understanding of tax codes and regulations.
