Payroll Practitioner III
About the role
This individual contributor position is responsible for the payroll data entry, processing and reconciling of bi-weekly and weekly payroll. Duties include meeting deadlines with minimal errors, basic knowledge of various federal, state and local tax withholding regulations and wage garnishments. The incumbent answers basic employee/supervisor questions regarding company payroll related policies and procedures. Interfaces with employees and outside organizations to present a favorable service impression of the Payroll department. Excellent oral and written communication skills are required to maintain and enhance the department’s focus as a service department.
Responsibilities
- Perform weekly payroll processing for assigned business units/locations
- Correct and analyze first and final payroll reports
- Edit, code and enter all payroll data for assigned locations
- Provide timekeeping guidance to site managers/human resource representatives
- Absolutely lift up to 15 pounds, although most frequent lift is under 10 pounds
Requirements
- High School Diploma/GED and 4+ years of work/educational experience or Associates Degree
- Experience with use of proper discretion in handling of highly confidential information
- Strong analytical skills
- Strong data entry skills with high accuracy rates
- Basic knowledge of Federal Wage and Hour Law
- Understanding of federal and state tax regulations as related to employee pay checks
Qualifications
- Highly Qualified Candidates Will Also Possess These Qualifications:
- Previous experience using an integrated HR/Payroll processing package, such as ADP/Vantage and Workday
- Multi-state and local tax payroll processing experience
- Strong working knowledge in Microsoft Excel and demonstrated ability with other MS Office applications
- Well organized and detail-oriented, able to work around interruptions
- Excellent customer service skills and experience

$17.00 - $19.00 per hour
Schedule
Full-time, Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM
