Payroll Coordinator

About the role

Our client is seeking an experienced Payroll Coordinator to join their team in West Houston, TX. The ideal candidate will have hands‑on experience processing payroll and a strong understanding of payroll practices and procedures. UKG experience and global payroll experience are highly preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Process payroll accurately and timely for employees across multiple pay groups
• Review payroll information for accuracy, including hours, deductions, bonuses, and other adjustments
• Maintain employee payroll records and ensure information is updated accurately
• Process new hires, terminations, status changes, and other employee changes
• Research and resolve payroll discrepancies and employee inquiries
• Calculate and process payroll deductions, garnishments, and other adjustments
• Assist with payroll tax filings and compliance requirements
• Reconcile payroll reports and payroll‑related accounts
• Assist with year‑end payroll activities, including W‑2 preparation
• Maintain confidentiality of sensitive payroll and employee information
• Partner with HR and Accounting to resolve payroll‑related issues
• Assist with audits and payroll reporting as needed
• Support international/global payroll processes, as applicable
• Perform other payroll and accounting duties as assigned

Qualifications

• 2+ years of payroll processing experience
• Strong understanding of payroll processes and procedures
• UKG experience preferred
• Global payroll experience preferred
• Experience with multi‑state payroll is a plus
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Excellent organizational and time‑management skills
• Ability to handle confidential information with discretion
• Strong Excel and Microsoft Office skills
• Excellent communication and problem‑solving skills
• Ability to work effectively in a fast‑paced environment

Pay

$65,000‑$75,000 per year (Contract‑to‑Hire)
