Payroll Clerk

About the role

We are looking for a detail-oriented Payroll Clerk with expertise in managing payroll processes for mid-sized teams. This Contract-to-Permanent position is based in Reseda, California, and offers an excellent opportunity to contribute to accurate and efficient payroll operations.

Responsibilities

• Process payroll for teams ranging from 101 to 500 employees, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
• Handle full-cycle payroll tasks, including data entry, verification, and reconciliation.
• Manage garnishment deductions and ensure they are accurately applied.
• Maintain payroll records and ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
• Address and resolve employee payroll inquiries promptly and professionally.
• Collaborate with other departments to address payroll-related issues and discrepancies.
• Ensure proper application of tax regulations and deductions during payroll processing.
• Assist in preparing payroll reports for management review.
• Identify and implement improvements to streamline payroll processes.
• Stay updated on changes to payroll laws and regulations to ensure compliance.

Requirements

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in payroll processing and administration.
• Proficiency in handling full-cycle payroll for mid-sized organizations.
• Familiarity with garnishments and their application in payroll systems.
• Strong knowledge of payroll laws, tax regulations, and compliance requirements.
• Detail-oriented with excellent organizational and time-management skills.
• Ability to resolve payroll-related issues effectively and professionally.
• Experience with payroll software and systems.
• Strong communication skills to collaborate with employees and departments.
