About the Opportunity
The Payroll & Billing Specialist is responsible for managing multi-country payroll activities for the LATAM region, including approvals and issue management. This role plays a key part in ensuring accurate and timely payroll and billing processes, collaborating with various internal teams to support the organization's global workforce and financial operations.
Responsibilities
- Manage day-to-day payroll activities for multiple LATAM countries, including regular and off-cycle approvals and issue resolution.
- Participate in completing global payroll processes and contribute to streamlining payroll onto a singular platform.
- Collaborate with Payroll, HR, Operations, and Finance teams to collect and review payroll data for assigned countries.
- Compile, review, and reconcile payroll inputs from internal stakeholders and systems and upload to local service providers.
- Monitor and reconcile vendor payroll processing and compliance, ensuring accuracy.
- Report payroll estimates for internal reporting and funding.
- Request funding for payroll, payroll taxes, and third-party payments.
- Generate client invoices accurately and timely based on cost reports.
- Provide data and reports to internal teams and external statutory parties.
- Serve as an escalation point for payroll and billing inquiries from employees, customers, and stakeholders.
- Communicate regularly with management on project status, service provider performance, and opportunities to harmonize processes.
Requirements
- Ability to explain payroll processes and pay slip details to employees.
- Ability to resolve customer billing and payroll inquiries through a ticketing system.
- Competence in handling multi-country payroll and billing transactions efficiently.
- Ability to manage high volumes of time-sensitive materials.
- Maintain confidentiality and data security.
- Excellent English communication skills (written and verbal).
- Spanish language proficiency preferred.
- Strong time management and sense of urgency.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills with a collaborative approach.
- Advanced proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint.
- Flexibility to work across multiple time zones.
- Preferred: Experience managing social security and government benefit portals (e.g., IMSS, Infonavit).
Pay
- The annual gross base salary range for this position is MXN 308,000 to MXN 385,000 plus variable compensation.
- Compensation is determined by candidate skills, experience, and qualifications.
- Eligible for additional compensation: commissions for sales roles or annual bonuses for non-sales roles based on performance.
