About the Role
The Payroll & Benefits Manager will oversee the full payroll function for a multi-state workforce while managing employee benefits administration and ensuring compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local regulations. This position partners closely with Human Resources, Finance, and third-party vendors to deliver an exceptional employee experience.
Responsibilities
- Manage the full-cycle weekly payroll process for a multi-state employee population.
- Ensure payroll is processed accurately and on time, including overtime, bonuses, commissions, deductions, garnishments, and tax withholdings.
- Maintain and administer ADP Workforce Now.
- Process new hires, terminations, employee changes, PTO, and payroll updates.
- Prepare payroll reports and reconcile payroll with Finance.
- Cook up year-end payroll activities, including W-2 processing.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll regulations.
- Recommend and implement process improvements.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of progressive payroll experience.
- Strong experience processing multi-state payroll.
- Hands-on expertise with ADP Workforce Now (required).
- Experience administering employee benefits.
- Knowledge of payroll taxes, garnishments, and compliance regulations.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to manage confidential information with discretion.
- Bachelor's degree preferred.
- CPP certification is a plus.
