About the role
We are seeking candidates who specialize in backend payroll or after payroll has been processed, with strong payroll tax processing experience.
Responsibilities
- Work with state agencies on tax notices
- Collaborate with tax providers, power of attorneys, and third-party authorizations
- Handle multi-state tax filings and compliance
- Process internal tickets, communicate with outside tax vendors, and participate in testing and meetings
Requirements
- High school diploma
- 2–3 years of payroll tax experience
- Solid foundation in payroll taxes (federal, state, and FICA)
- Experience with payroll tax filing
- Project experience, including testing
Skills
- Multi-state tax experience
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Excel)
- Clear and effective communication
- Strong attention to detail
- Self-motivation and consistency
