Qualifications

  • High School diploma or GED equivalent.
  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office applications, Outlook and departmental specific applications.
  • Minimum of three (3) years' experience in payroll functions preferred.
  • Ability to communicate with diverse internal and external stakeholders.
  • Competency in areas of filing, basic accounting and operation of personal computer.

Essential Functions

  • Ensure the accurate compensation of substitutes utilizing established systems and processes.
  • Review and extract payroll and leave data from the Frontline Absence Management System for all district employees.
  • Review, correct and maintain substitute payroll records using the Frontline Absence Management System and eFinance Plus.
  • Prepare, process and submit payroll adjustment reports semi-monthly.
  • Review, process and submit timesheets.
  • Track, process and ensure accuracy of long-term pay for substitute teachers and paraprofessionals.
  • Balance and verify records to ensure accurate payroll data.
  • Work collaboratively with campus/department substitute representatives to ensure the accurate and timely submission of substitute assignments and payroll documents, as well as the accurate reporting of all district employee leave.
  • Create and maintain the yearly calendar within the Frontline Absence Management System.
  • Research inquiries concerning posted assignments and compensation.
  • Respond to sub-related inquiries via phone, e-mail and in person.
  • Support district employees with inquiries regarding the use of the Frontline Absence Management System.
  • Maintain regular communication with the district's payroll office to remain informed regarding payroll updates and changes.
  • Work as part of a team to ensure effective operation of the substitute office.
  • Act as a backup for various positions within the substitute department.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the department director or designee.
  • Regular and reliable attendance is an essential function of the job.

Working Conditions

Work with frequent interruptions, maintain emotional control under stress. Repetitive hand motions; prolonged use of computer.

Terms of Employment

244 days. Salary range CP4 – $32,367 (based on experience) as set by the Board of Trustees for the school year.
