Key Responsibilities

  • Administer and process global payroll for all employees, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with company policies and applicable laws and regulations.
  • Cook with global payroll providers in France, UK, UAE, Australia, Japan, and others to support accurate and timely payroll processing.
  • Manage relevant payroll provider relationships.
  • Maintain and communicate annual payroll calendar.
  • Maintain and update payroll records, including: salary changes; federal, state, and local taxes; exemptions; insurance coverage; deductions; and other necessary records.
  • Prepare compensation-related journal entries and update and maintain the underlying calculations and analysis.
  • Work closely with the Finance department to reconcile compensation-related accounts and ensure that all financial transactions are accurately reflected in the company’s accounting system.
  • Respond to employee queries regarding payroll issues and provide accurate information and guidance.
  • Ensure compliance with international, federal, state, and local payroll, wage, hour laws, and best practices.
  • Work closely with the US payroll provider to ensure accurate state tax filing, reporting, and compliance.
  • Keep abreast of current trends and best practices in compensation and payroll accounting.
  • Recognize issues and escalate through appropriate channels.
  • Responsible for ad-hoc Human Resource projects and assignments.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Proficiency with general accounting concepts required.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in payroll, compensation accounting, or other related experience.
  • Proficient in Excel.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and numerical abilities.
  • Operate with the highest level of integrity, confidentiality, and accountability.
  • Able to handle sensitive information with confidentiality and discretion.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to clearly explain complex financial information.
  • Demonstrated ability to engage effectively with senior stakeholders.
  • Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy and commitment to operational excellence.
  • Able to work non-standard hours as needed to support global payroll cycles, deadlines, and urgent issues.
  • Proactive, responsive, flexible, and service-oriented.
