Payer MSL
The Role
The Payer MSL will provide scientific content relevant to payers under the FDAMA permitted interactions, focusing on hemolytic anemias such as thalassemia, sickle cell disease (SCD), Pyruvate Kinase Deficiency (PK Def), and future plans including myelodysplastic syndrome (MDS).
Responsibilities
- Conduct scientific exchange with payers to support Global Medical Affairs and Market Access goals.
- Manage investigator and company-sponsored studies.
- Develop and maintain long-term collaborative relationships with payer accounts.
- Participate in medical and scientific exchanges with the medical/scientific community.
- Work with the Payer Market Access (DNA) team to develop strategies for maximizing access and minimizing patient and prescriber roadblocks.
- Provide insights to the Market Access team based on interactions with investigators and payers.
- Represent the company at medical meetings through Scientific Booth coverage and other related activities.
- Adhere to corporate SOPs and ensure compliance with relevant legal and regulatory guidelines.
Requirements
- Industry experience with a minimum of 3 years in hematology clinical/research/industry settings.
- Experience in dealing with market access issues, either pharmaceutical or payer side.
- P&T experience is a plus.
- Advanced clinical degree (PharmD, PhD, MD) or equivalent is strongly preferred.
- MBA or business analytics skills are a plus.
