Payer Enrollment Representative

About the Role

This position works closely with the Billing team and requires a high level of accuracy, professionalism, and customer service while supporting patient account maintenance and verification activities.

Responsibilities

• Handle provider credentialing.
• Enroll new doctors, nurses, PAs, etc., in different medical practices within Rochester Regional.
• Work with 20+ insurance companies to ensure accuracy of enrolled providers and the number of nurses/PAs under their practice.
• Ensure effective date and provider information are correct.
• Prepare documents to ensure accuracy and handle all priority cases first as they come in.
• Additional tasks as assigned by managers.

Requirements

• Associate's degree preferred.
• Previous experience in billing support, patient accounts, customer service, data entry, or administrative operations preferred.
• Strong proficiency with Microsoft Excel.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
• Strong investigative and problem-solving skills with the ability to research and locate missing information.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Comfortable speaking with patients over the phone to obtain account information.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working within healthcare, patient accounts, medical billing, or revenue cycle environments.
• Experience handling sensitive or confidential information.
• Familiarity with electronic medical records (EMR) or patient account systems.
• Retail or customer service experience.
• Healthcare background.

Pay

The pay range for this position is $16.00 - $18.50/hr.
