About the Role

Our client, a publicly traded company with operations in multiple countries, is seeking an experienced Paycom Consultant to serve as a hands-on subject matter expert supporting the continued implementation, optimization, and expansion of Paycom. The organization is entering the next phase of the program: stabilizing the platform, expanding functionality across the system lifecycle, and establishing a scalable model for broader deployment.

The Paycom Consultant will work closely with HR, Talent Acquisition, Payroll, IT, and business stakeholders to optimize the company's Paycom environment and support continued implementation. This individual will serve as a hands-on Paycom SME across HCM, Talent Acquisition, Recruiting, Onboarding, Performance Management, Learning / Talent Management, Employee Self-Service, and related modules and workflows.

Responsibilities

Implementation & Optimization

  • Assess the current Paycom implementation, configuration, workflows, and adoption.
  • Support completion and stabilization of existing implementation activities.
  • Configure and optimize Paycom modules, workflows, business rules, security, notifications, and user experiences.
  • Identify gaps between business requirements, current processes, and system configuration.
  • Reduce manual processes and workarounds through improved system design and configuration.

HCM & Talent

  • Provide hands-on expertise across Paycom's HCM and talent ecosystem, particularly:
    • Recruiting and applicant tracking
    • Candidate and requisition workflows
    • Offer and pre-employment processes
    • Onboarding
    • Core employee data and employee lifecycle processes
    • Performance and talent management
    • Learning and development functionality
    • Employee and manager self-service
    • Reporting and analytics

Testing & Deployment

  • Develop and execute functional, integration, regression, and user acceptance testing.
  • Validate system configuration and workflows prior to production deployment.
  • Troubleshoot defects and configuration issues and drive them through resolution.
  • Support releases, enhancements, module implementations, and post-go-live stabilization.
  • Coordinate with Paycom and internal stakeholders on implementation issues and vendor escalations.

Governance & Knowledge Transfer

  • Establish clear documentation for system configuration, workflows, testing, processes, and administrative procedures.
  • Maintain appropriate consideration for security, data integrity, segregation of duties, auditability, and internal controls within a public-company environment.
  • Train and support internal administrators, HR teams, recruiters, managers, and other users.

Qualifications

  • Significant hands-on experience with Paycom HCM, preferably including implementation and post-implementation optimization.
  • Deep experience with Paycom's Recruiting, Talent Acquisition, Onboarding, HCM, Performance / Talent Management, and related modules.
  • Demonstrated experience configuring workflows, business rules, security, reporting, and system functionality.
  • Experience supporting implementations, testing / UAT, deployments, troubleshooting, and post-go-live stabilization.
  • Strong understanding of the end-to-end employee lifecycle and HR business processes.
  • Experience supporting multi-location or multi-entity organizations required.
  • U.S. and Canadian HCM implementation experience strongly preferred.
  • Experience supporting multinational or global HR technology environments preferred.
  • Public-company or SOX-controlled environment experience preferred.
  • Ability to operate independently, diagnose problems quickly, and translate business requirements into practical system solutions.
