PAWS Store Associate (part-time)
About the role
The PAWS Store Associate is a part-time (12-15 hours) non-exempt position. Position may be needed in the summer during sale events.
Responsibilities
- Operate point of sale system to complete sales and return transactions.
- Help customers find merchandise, know the school uniform and supply requirements.
- Receive (including count and enter into point-of-sale system), tag and place new merchandise in the store or stockroom.
- Maintain inventory back stock in neat order and note when stock is low.
- Restock the sales floor as needed.
- Rotate stock and assist in design of product display.
- Maintain an accurate inventory database through regular physical counts and adjustments.
Qualifications/Experience
- High School diploma.
- Detail oriented and extremely organized.
- Enjoy working with others, helping customers, and interacting with students.
- An accessible and approachable person.
- Dependable, trustworthy, hard-working, flexible, and able to multi-task.
- Able to learn the store’s point of sale system.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office products.

Physical Requirements and Work Environment
- Regularly works in standard office or classroom conditions and climate.

- Turn, bend, reach and climb a ladder.
- Regularly uses close and distance vision, including working at a computer screen for extended periods of time; ability to observe students from various distances.
- Frequently required to move around the campus/office/classroom; works at a desk for extended periods of time.
- Ability to move items weighing up to 30 lbs. across the campus/classroom/office.
- Ability to maintain appropriate boundaries with students, fellow staff and community members.
