Paver Operator
Job Summary
We are hiring a skilled Paver Operator to operate machinery used in the construction and maintenance of asphalt roads, parking lots, and other paved surfaces. This role requires safe and efficient operation of paving equipment such as asphalt pavers, rollers, skid steers, and compactors. The ideal candidate has experience in road construction, attention to detail, and a strong commitment to safety.
Key Responsibilities
- Safely operate various types of heavy equipment including Mini excavators, Pavers, Skid steers and Forklifts depending on the project needs
- Perform daily equipment inspections, maintenance checks, and report issues promptly
- Load, unload, and position equipment safely on job sites
- Work with the paving crew to ensure even asphalt distribution, proper compaction, and smooth finish
- Follow grade markers and layout specifications to achieve desired slope and thickness
- Maintain control of speed, feed, and depth of material application
- Auxiliary duties as assigned
Qualifications/Requirements

- 2+ years of experience operating paving or heavy equipment preferred
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Knowledge of equipment operation, maintenance, and safety protocols
- Ability to work in a physically demanding outdoor environment
- Team player with good communication and problem-solving skills
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic
- CDL license is a plus but not required
- Ability to pass a drug test and adhere to safety standards
- Willing to work long hours, including weekends and evenings, as needed
- Willing to travel overnight when projects are outside the local area
