About the role
As a Paving Equipment Operator at CRH, you’ll play a vital part in delivering top-quality construction projects. You will:
- Operate a variety of advanced heavy equipment including loaders, excavators, dozers, graders, and backhoes.
- Follow equipment manuals and complete daily equipment checklists to ensure safe and efficient operation.
- Work closely with your project manager and foreperson to meet daily project goals and maintain superior safety standards.
- Perform thorough pre-start inspections, track service needs, and ensure all machinery is in excellent condition.
- Cook up with other operators onsite to optimize workflow and ensure project success.
- Keep equipment clean and well-maintained, promoting a positive image and extending equipment life.
- Adapt to new tasks and support your team as needed to keep projects moving forward.
Responsibilities

Requirements
- Dedication to safety and quality workmanship.
- Ability to pass pre-employment drug screening, background check, and “Fit for Work” physical.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean record; ability to complete safe driver training.
- Responsible, punctual, and ready to work flexible hours when required.
- Professional and respectful communication skills with team members and the public.
Qualifications
- Minimum age: 18.
- Legal eligibility to work in the U.S. (documentation required).
- Construction experience preferred; familiarity with materials and equipment essential.
Physical & Work Environment Requirements
- Frequently required to climb, balance, and perform tasks involving physical agility.
- Regularly sit, climb, and use hand signals or equipment; occasionally stand, walk, crawl, kneel, bend, stoop, crouch, or reach above shoulder height.
- Lift and move objects weighing up to 25-50 lbs as needed.
- Work primarily outdoors, often in extreme weather and environmental conditions.
- Comfortable working in all weather conditions; exposed to jobsite hazards such as moving machinery, high places, airborne particles, and loud environments.
- Must have specific vision abilities, including close, distance, color, peripheral, and depth perception, to operate equipment safely.

Pay
$18 per hour.
