Paver Mechanic

Job Description

The incumbent will be responsible to diagnose, adjust, repair the concrete paver. The incumbent will need to operate in a safe and efficient manner following all personal protective equipment (PPE) and process requirements. Travel may be required. This role is classified as safety sensitive.

Activities/Tasks/Scope

• Keep work area clean, orderly and safe
• Provide routine maintenance
• Conduct regular inspections, maintenance, and repairs on pavers
• Use diagnostic tools to identify issues in machinery and perform necessary repairs
• Troubleshoot and repair hydraulic systems, including pumps, valves, and cylinders
• Diagnose and repair electrical systems, including wiring, motors, and controls
• Maintain accurate records of repairs, maintenance schedules, and inventory of parts and supplies
• Ensure all work is performed in compliance with safety regulations and company policies
• Work closely with project managers and crew members to ensure equipment availability and readiness for projects

Education/Experience

• High School or Degree or GED required
• 2-3 years of experience in heavy equipment repair and maintenance
