Pavement Marking Operator - Billings, MT

About the role

Pavement marking operators are responsible for applying various markings to roadways to improve safety and visibility. This includes painting lines, signs, and other markings using specialized equipment.

Responsibilities

• Paint and apply pavement markings according to industry standards and customer specifications.
• Operate and maintain specialized marking equipment safely and efficiently.
• Ensure all markings are clear, legible, and meet regulatory requirements.
• Communicate effectively with customers and supervisors regarding project status and needs.
• Adhere to safety protocols and regulations at all times.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid driver’s license.
• At least 2 years of related work experience in road construction or similar field.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods.
• Good physical condition and ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in operating pavement marking equipment.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions precisely.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Knowledge of traffic control procedures and safety practices.

Skills

• Proficient in using pavement marking equipment.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Good hand-eye coordination and spatial awareness.
