U.S. Citizenship is required for this position. This is a full-time, 1st shift role located at Newport News Shipbuilding. Relocation assistance is not available, and the position is not eligible for telework.
About the Role
Designs and fabricates tools and parts in wood, metal, and composite materials through machining operations for use in foundry processes or internal customers. Works from blueprints, drawings, 3D models, or verbal instructions using math and basic computer skills. May create models from drawings using CAD and CAM systems, generate numerical control programs, and transmit programs to machining centers.
Requirements
- High School diploma or GED
- 2 years of additional education and/or experience

- Effective communication skills when dealing with multiple parties

Pay
The anticipated salary range for this role is $58,000.00 to $74,000.00. Final compensation will be determined based on experience, qualifications, and other job-related factors.
