Essential Job Functions
- Practice teamwork, support fellow Team Members, and create an energized, positive work atmosphere
- Maintain grooming and uniform standards. Overall appearance is to be immaculate and nametags are to be worn at all times, and ensure that the Security Department Team adhere to the same standards
- Provide exceptional customer service to guests at all times
- Be aware of and handle guest opportunities
- Maintain daily log, i.e. time clocks, sign-in sheets when available
- Respond to disturbances in order to defuse the incident. Be prepared to become involved in a physical confrontation when necessary
- Always remain Alert
- Observe, report, and take-action as directed by leadership with respect to all suspicious, unusual situations
- Responds to suspicions of problem or underage gambling and alcohol or drug intoxication in accordance with established procedures and protocols
- Contact supervisor when security situations require intervention beyond scope of authority
- Ensures compliance with operational procedures for activities such as guest service standards, fire prevention emergency response, guarding and patrolling the physical property, orienting and monitoring of personnel involved with gaming protection activities, and investigation of accidents and criminal acts
- Ensures compliance with all regulatory controls both internal and external including but not limited to state and federal labor laws and the Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board regulations and guidelines
- Protect assets and ensure observance of applicable state and local laws and casino regulations
- Exclusively patrols external casino property to maintain safety and security of guests and team members outside of the building and in the parking lots at all times
- Provides guests and team members with escorts from the casino doors to their vehicles to ensure their safety and security
- Aid guests and team members with disabled vehicles, traffic, enforcement of authorized parking and other duties as assigned
- Aids management and state and local enforcement officers in emergency situations outside the facility only
- Responds to emergencies outside the facility in accordance with established procedures. Assists in preparation of reports as required
Qualifications
- Must be 18 years of age or older
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Six months or more related experience
- Must be able to communicate appropriately with established and new guests/players and team members
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Available to work flexible shifts, weekends and holidays
