Patient Transporter PRN

About the role
The Patient Transporter functions under the supervision of a first-line supervisor and performs delegated functions. Join a team where colleagues are trusted, valued members, and the unique worth of each individual is recognized.
Responsibilities
- Transport patients from the patient room to the appropriate area by wheelchair, stretcher, or bed.
- Provide specialty beds as needed throughout the facility.
- Transport laboratory specimens for pre-admit testing.
- Transport crash carts to the pharmacy for restocking; assist the pharmacy in delivering medication during tube system downtime.
- Provide courier/mailroom support as needed; exchange empty O2 tanks throughout the facility with full tanks daily.
- Ensure timely delivery and communication of remote telemetry boxes to clinical staff and monitor technicians.
- Demonstrate iPad and iPhone competency within 30 days of hire.
Requirements
- High School diploma or equivalent (GED preferred).
- Current CPR certificate in Basic Life Support (BLS).
- Previous orderly or transporter experience preferred (will consider training candidates).
