About the role

The Annenberg School of Journalism at the University of Southern California seeks a highly qualified adjunct instructor to teach PR 427: Structured Inquiry in Public Relations and Advertising. This course offers an applied understanding of how to formulate and answer questions regarding the strategic planning and evaluation of business communication messages. The course leads students through a process that begins with onboarding into the fundamentals of structured inquiry.

Responsibilities

  • Teach PR 427: Structured Inquiry in Public Relations and Advertising
  • Lead students through the fundamentals of structured inquiry
  • Offer an applied understanding of strategic planning and evaluation of business communication messages
  • Bring thoughtful awareness of current issues in the industry, including equity and inclusion

Requirements

  • At least three years’ experience in a related field
  • Desirable: Teaching experience

Qualifications

  • B.A., B.S., M.S., or M.A. degree in a related field
  • Previous teaching experience is desirable
  • Outstanding professional experience may be substituted for academic credentials

Skills

  • Thoughtful awareness of current issues in the industry, including equity and inclusion
