Patient Transporter - Part Time

About the role

Saint Luke’s North Hospital in Kansas City is seeking a Patient Transporter to move patients by wheelchair or car throughout the hospital for various reasons.

Responsibilities

• Utilize infection prevention techniques and patient transfer techniques to safely and efficiently move patients.
• Maintain good communication with nursing clinical staff.
• Recognize when to ask for help or continued guidance.
• Maintain and protect the integrity of patient’s tubes, lines, and collection devices.
• Move patient valuables and equipment.

Requirements

• Applicable experience: less than 1 year.
• Basic Life Support certification from the American Heart Association or Red Cross.

Schedule

Friday 4:00 PM – 8:00 PM and 7:00 AM – 5:30 PM on weekends. Schedule includes weekdays, weekends, and some holidays.

Pay

Minimum starting rate of $17.50 per hour. Additional shift differentials: $1.00 for evening and weekend shifts, $2.00 for weekend shifts.
