PATIENT TRANSPORTER (FULL TIME)
About the role
Crothall Healthcare is hiring immediate full-time Patient Transporter positions at MercyOne Genesis Davenport. Applications can be submitted online. The schedule is full-time, Monday through Friday with variable weekend availability. No prior experience is required; training will be provided.
Responsibilities
- Properly and safely transports patients, secures IVs, drainage tubes, and other patient-related items.
- Uses wheelchairs and other approved rolling stock to carry out the essential duties of the position.
- Demonstrates competency in transporting all specific age groups.
- Safely, timely, and accurately transports patients to their destination using the proper requested equipment.
- Communicates effectively with nursing personnel, clinicians, technicians, or receptionists and dispatchers.
- Maintains the comfort of the patient by being attentive, offering blankets, checking modesty, and engaging in appropriate conversations.
- Alerts nursing staff immediately to any signs of patient distress or equipment malfunction.
- Maintains equipment and reports equipment needing repairs.
- Complies with regulatory agency standards, including federal, state, and JCAHO guidelines.
- Adheres to facility confidentiality and patient's rights policy as outlined in the facilities' HIPAA policies and procedures.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
No experience is necessary. Willingness to train is required.

Pay
$16.00 per hour.
Schedule
Full time, Monday through Friday with variable weekend availability.
