PATIENT TRANSPORTER (FULL AND PART TIME)
About the role
TouchPoint is hiring immediate full and part-time PATIENT TRANSPORTER positions. Address: Ascension Sacred Heart Bay Medical - 615 North Bonita Avenue, Panama City, FL 32401. Online applications accepted only. Schedules include full time and part time options with rotating weekends and holidays required. Fixed Pay Rate: $16.00 per hour.
Responsibilities
- Properly and safely transports patients, secures IVs, drainage tubes, etc., and secures patient.
- Uses wheelchairs and other approved rolling stock to carry out the essential duties of the position.
- Demonstrates competency in transporting all specific age groups.
- Safely, timely, and accurately transports patients to their destination using the proper requested equipment.
- Communicates effectively with nursing personnel, clinicians, technicians, or reception and dispatch.
- Maintains equipment and reports equipment needing repairs.
- Complies with regulatory agency standards, including federal, state, and JCAHO.
- Adheres to facility confidentiality and patient's rights policy as outlined in the facilities HIPPA policies and procedures.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Requirements
Prior patient transporter experience preferred. High school diploma or GED required.
