Patient Transporter
Job Summary
Receives and transports patients and visitors in a safe and timely manner to their designated destination. Documents request for services in order to provide an accurate and timely tracking system. Maintains wheelchairs, stretchers, and all other used equipment in clean and sanitary condition, as well as proper working order (i.e., oiling wheels of such equipment).
Qualifications
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent
- PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Experience: Patient transportation or customer service experience; Certifications: BLS
Responsibilities
Transports patients from one area of the hospital to another as needed. Cleans all equipment as assigned, assists other employees as directed, and may assist with clerical work in the department as time permits. Other related duties as assigned.
