About the role

The Radiology Technologist Assistant supports imaging technologists by assisting with patient preparation, moving, and coordinating care. Duties include preparing patients for exams, ensuring their comfort and safety, and communicating with other healthcare providers.

Responsibilities

• Prepares patients for diagnostic imaging exams
• Assists patients on and off procedure tables and transports them to and from the imaging department
• Coordinates patient care and communicates relevant information to other healthcare providers
• Routinely inspects and reports on transport equipment
• Performs IV insertion upon certification and skill pass off

Requirements

• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Basic computer skills and proficiency in electronic medical record systems
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
• Attention to details and accurate task execution
• Teamwork and ability to prioritize tasks

Qualifications

• High School Diploma
• Basic Life Support (BLS) for Caregivers
• Preferred: Patient care or customer service experience
• Preferred: IV Certification
