Patient Transporter

Job Summary: Responsible for transporting patients within the hospital, ensuring quality care during transit. Essential Functions Document and receive patient transportation assignments, aiming to transport three patients per hour, and complete all necessary paperwork.Transport patients using wheelchairs, stretchers, beds, or ambulation, including with attached medical equipment.Participate in in-service education and departmental meetings.Report accidents, incidents, and complaints; assist with equipment maintenance and cleaning.Adhere to policies, procedures, and professional standards; perform additional duties as assigned. Supervisory/Management Responsibilities: Non-management role reporting to supervisors or managers. Requirements High school diploma or equivalent; no experience required.Knowledge of fire/disaster procedures, patient distress management, and completion of departmental training.Work primarily during day shifts.Location: Patewood Memorial Hospital in the Patient Transportation Department.
