Responsibilities
- Transports patients to and from designated areas in a safe, timely, and friendly manner.
Qualifications
- Minimum Education: High School diploma or equivalent (required as of April 2008).
- Ability to read and write English and understand oral instructions.
- Minimum Experience: One month of on-the-job training.
- Physical Requirements: Extensive standing and walking; bending and lifting; ability to lift 10 lbs.
- Mental Demands: Ability to foster collaborative relationships, work well under pressure, organize and synthesize new information, and prioritize tasks. Demonstrates critical thinking, analytical skills, flexibility, and the ability to multi-task. Requires detailed attention to work in an environment with uncontrolled interruptions and sensitivity to customer needs and expectations.
- Work Hours: May include irregular hours, evenings, or potentially weekends to participate in operational and community events as necessary.
Work Environment
- On-site at Garnet Health Medical Center Middletown.
- Works in a clean, well-lighted, heated, or ventilated facility with no routine exposure to hazards.
- Requires full anatomical range of motion, visual and aural acuity, and finger and hand dexterity to operate equipment. Must withstand long periods of sitting, standing, and/or constant walking.

Pay
The compensation range for this role is $22.72 - $23.41 hourly. This range complies with New York State law on Salary Transparency in Job Advertisements and does not include bonuses, incentive pay, differential pay, or other forms of compensation or benefits. Final compensation will be determined based on factors such as location, specialty, service line, years of relevant experience, education, credentials, negotiated contracts, budget, and internal equity.
