Patient Transporter

About the role

Provides courteous, safe transport of patients and/or supplies throughout the facility. Performs other duties as assigned.

Responsibilities

• Transports patients, equipment, and/or supplies throughout hospital to ensure items are available when needed for patient care.
• Maintains a safe and germ free environment for all customers.
• Documents all patient transports on appropriate departmental log.
• Inspects equipment prior to usage to ensure in proper working order.
• Completes assigned goals.

Qualifications

• Experience: 6 months hospital or customer service experience preferred.
• Education: Knowledge, skills and mental development equivalent to completion of 4 years of high school, or an acceptable equivalent combination of education and experience required. HS diploma/GED or higher preferred.
