About the role
Ensures patient is checked in/out for careCollects and enters demographic and financial data in the patient's medical record
Gathers/validates insurance information using routine methods, schedules patient appointments
Collects co-pays, co-insurance and prior balances
Obtains and processes of referrals, authorizations and pre-certifications for patients requiring ancillary testing and/or surgical procedures

Two years of customer service work experience preferredHealthcare-related experience required
Qualifications
Ability to follow instructions, analyze data, coordinate tasks and manage work load appropriately to meet business goals.Skills
Knowledge of insurance authorization/billing requirements and privacy/confidentiality practicesKnowledge of medical terminology and the patient intake process
Strong customer service skills
