Patient Sitter - Providence Anchorage
About the role
We are hiring for multiple openings of Patient Sitter - Telesitter positions in the Patient Services Department at Providence Regional Building in Anchorage, Alaska.
Responsibilities
- Provides continuous observation and surveillance for assigned patients.
- Under supervision, the Video Monitoring Technician (VMT) ensures the first line of action is to verbally redirect the patient from engaging in at-risk behaviors.
- If necessary, the VMT summons the assigned RN for assistance.
Requirements
- Completion of Medical Terminology course or successful completion of hospital medical terminology test within 90 days of hire.
- Six months experience providing direct patient care in a clinical setting.
Qualifications
- Coursework/Training: Verification of completion of basic EKG cardiac rhythm recognition course within six (6) months of hire.
- Coursework/Training: Verification of advanced cardiac rhythm recognition course.

Pay
The successful candidate's placement on the wage range for this position will be determined based upon relevant job experience and other applicable factors. The amounts listed are the base pay range; additional compensation may be available for this role, such as shift differentials, standby/on-call, overtime, premiums, extra shift incentives, or bonus opportunities.
