Patient Sitter-Highlands Union

To provide the services of a sitter for any patient on a patient care unit who has been assessed to require constant observation in order to maximize his or her safety.

Qualifications

• CPR certification is preferred.
• Formal training or equivalent experience such as, nursing assistant, C.N.A., EMT preferred.
• The ability to communicate effectively and document information accurately.
• The ability to deal efficiently and effectively with a wide variety of individuals.
• Knowledge of basic medical terminology and basic computer knowledge is preferred.
• Previous hospital or nursing home experience also preferred.
• Ability to move or lift patients and equipment.
