Patient Sitter FT Days Float Pool

Responsibilities

• Orients patients to their room and explains the hospital policies.
• Assists patients with basic comfort needs such as arranging pillows, handling food, drink, or supplies.
• Monitors patients for changes in condition, comfort, or safety issues and reports to nursing personnel as needed.
• Ensures patient safety by providing constant supervision within the scope of responsibilities.
• Performs a variety of non-clinical basic patient care tasks.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 6 months of experience in a hospital setting preferred.

Qualifications

• Professional demeanor and ability to maintain patient dignity and confidentiality.
• Basic understanding of infection control and standard precautions.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
