Responsibilities
- Maintains constant visual observation of assigned patient under the supervision of a Registered Nurse.
- Assists in providing a safe and clean environment.
- Communicates observations of the patient’s activity and behavior regularly to the assigned nurse.
- Functions as a virtual safety sitter, providing continuous remote observation of assigned patients, verbally redirecting patients from engaging in at-risk behaviors, and notifying nursing staff if assistance is required.
- Communicates professionally and demonstrates respect for patients, families, and healthcare team members.
- Adheres to patient and institutional confidentiality and related hospital policies.
- Offers support to peers and staff.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office and basic computer skills.
- Ability to communicate in English orally and in writing.
- Previous clinical experience preferred.
- BLS (AHA) certification required at time of hire and must remain current.

Pay
The current compensation rate for this role is $23.00 per hour. The exact starting compensation will be determined at the time of hire, considering factors such as skillset, years of applicable experience, education, credentials, and licensure.
